Who can attend the clinic?
The clinic is open to everyone seeking tests and guidance regarding sexually transmitted infections.
Tests and treatment at the clinic will be conducted by either a doctor or a nurse.
Walk-in service
- The walk-in clinic is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The clinic is closed on holidays.
- Please, remember to check-in at the reception upon arrival.
- You might experience some delay as this is a walk-in and wait service.
Optional anonymity (HIV and Syphilis)
Anonymous testing is offered for HIV and syphilis. Other sexually transmitted infections can however not be tested anonymously. If treatment is needed the clinic must know your social security number.
Please remember to inform us upon arrival if you wish anonymous testing for HIV and syphilis.
No information will be shared with your general practitioner concerning visits to the Sexual Health Clinic.
Which examinations are conducted?
We conduct the following tests:
- Gonorrhoea
- Genital herpes
- HIV
- Chlamydia
- Genital warts (condylomas)
- Infectious hepatitis
- Syphilis
- Lymphogranuloma venereum
The incubation period of common STIs
The period from possible exposure to a STI, unprotected sex, incl. oral sex, until the infection can be detected through tests, is called incubation period.
- Gonorrhoea: 1 week
- Chlamydia: Approximately 3 weeks
- HIV: 1 month
- Syphilis: 3 months
Getting your test results
Results are typically available 5-7 days after testing. You can access the test results online by logging into your account on MinSP or by attending the clinic personally and wait to see the doctor or nurse.
It is not possible to receive results by phone or email.
