The annual Research Symposium is for employees, researchers and students at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital.
The purpose of the symposium is to celebrate and share the research that is happening at the hospital.
WHEN and WHERE
The Research Symposium is held at Herlev Hospital, Store auditorium, Balkonen and Store mødesal, from 9.00 to 15.30, November 7, 2023.
WHO can participate
The Research Symposium is open to all employees, researchers and students at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital. You do not have to sign up beforehand.
HOW do I submit an abstract
- Please submit abstracts using the Abstract Template on our Intranet
- Abstracts are limited to 250 words
- Abstracts should be written and presented in English
- Everybody is invited to submit abstracts. If a PhD degree is obtained, please state the year
- Presenters with a PhD degree obtained before 2022 are not eligible for the competitions
- Abstracts should contain information under the following subheadings: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion
- Abstracts must be comprehensible to professionals from other specialties
- Abstracts previously presented at e.g., conferences are accepted
- Presenter must be employed by Herlev and Gentofte Hospital
- Abstracts must describe research conducted at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital
- All abstracts are reviewed by a committee appointed by Forskningsrådet. The committee will only receive the second page of the template – to secure objectivity. The committee selects 8 abstracts for the oral presentation competition (8 min. + 2 min. for questions) and 90 abstracts for short electronic presentations (4 min. + 1 min. for questions).
All abstracts are selected by the committee using the criteria: Quality of research, originality, and dissemination to a wider audience.

Submission deadline is September 11, 11.59 pm.
There will be prices for best oral presentation and best electronic poster - and a surprise.
