​Proteinberiget, mælkebaseret supplement til modvirkning af sarkopeni hos akut syge geriatriske patienter, der tilbydes styrketræning under og efter indlæggelsen – et dobbeltblindet, randomiseret, kontrolleret studie

Formål

At undersøge om et øget proteinindtag i form af et proteinberiget, mælkebaseret supplement, kan forstærke den gavnlige effekt af styrketræning, hos ældre patienter over 70 år. Dette vurderes bl.a. ud fra muskelstyrke, muskelmasse samt evne til at klare sig selv.

Studiedesign

Dobbeltblindet, blok-randomiseret, kontrolleret, multicenter interventionsstudie

Metode

120 geriatriske patienter > 70 år rekrutteres fra medicinsk afdeling. Intervention: under indlæggelse og 12 uger efter udskrivelse: Styrketræning (under indlæggelse: dagligt og efter udskrivelse: 4 x/uge) + daglig forsøgsdrik (energi±protein) + 20 ug vitamin D (såfremt det ikke allerede ordineres/indtages).
