About Center for Clinical Metabolic Research

Center for Clinical Metabolic Research is a research unit located at Gentofte Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark. In our customised research units, we conduct state-of-the-art physiological, pathophysiological and clinical research within the field of human metabolism. Our main areas of interest are the function of the gastrointestinal tract and its hormones and metabolic disorders like diabetes, obesity and metabolic liver disease among others.

Over the past ten years our research has developed around the function of gastrointestinal hormones and metabolic disorders covering diabetes, obesity and liver diseases among others. We conduct experimental research on patients as well as healthy volunteers and report the results of a wide range of research projects at international conferences and in scientific papers relating to human metabolism.

The center has approximately 50 employees including professors, senior scientists, postdocs, PhD students, medical students, lab-tehnicians, nurses and administrative staff. We have a total capacity of approximately 10 beds located in three rooms adjacent to a laboratory where samples are handled and prepared for further processing by external suppliers.
